We use a layered approach. First we put a solid wireless system developed by Systemstechnologies. This allows the capability to choose several notification methods of all alarm situations. It also allows for easy growth by adding a variety of optional wirless components like fire alarm monitoring.
We then add the communication component like paging or telphone integration. At the customer's request we can also add offsite notification.
We then add access control, whether it be simple door access notification or sophisticated keyfob access control.
We then add patient wandering monitor system. This allows complete control and notifications to staff of patient activity via the same method used for nurse call alarms.
We then add wireless ethernet to give controlled bandwidth access to staff and to limit residents to an acceptable speed.
Regardless of the mix, the end result is a fully integrated system that is easy to maintain and simple to use.
