LP Electronics has a long history in the satellite field. We've been installing satellite dishes for over 20 years. LP Electronics was also the tech support company of choice for the local cable company which received programming via satellite and distributed the signal to homes via physical cables.
Satellite equipment has changed considerably throughout the years. In the beginning we were installing 12 feet solid dishes then slowly came down to the 6 feet mesh dish rental. Today a typical dish is no bigger then a couple of feet across.
We've watched the competion fight it out on who could give the best choice of programing at the best prices and have selected Expressvu by Bell, which we feel is the best choice.
For internet, Telesat has been there with their commercial system you see at most gas stations and department stores for years. Being for commercial use they are too expensive to be economical for homes therefor we took on Xplornet which uses the same satellite Telesat uses but at a much more reasonable price. This allows us to provide Internet practically anywhere without tying up phone lines.
